Into Thin Air- Third Response

The entire story from pages 139 to 240 is about Hall and his team climbing Everest.

Most of the time spent were them getting used to the thin atmosphere and preparing for their climb to the summit.

During the climb, we learn about how dirty Mount Everest actually is as it is filled with human feces, oxygen tanks, and human bodies. In order to clean up the mountain, climbers are required to bring back 8 pounds of garbage besides their own back or else they get fined.

Everyone climbing Everest are prepared to die or prepared to see the people around them die. Therefore, they do not flinch when they walk past dead bodies or even when they see someone fall off the mountain.

Overall, this part of the story did not have any significant detail and was just preparing the reader for when they climb to the summit of Everest.
